Dunelm in Weymouth is officially opening at the Gateway development today.

The hotly-anticipated homeware store is the latest chain to open on the multi-million pound site following in the footsteps of Costa Coffee and McDonalds.

Dunelm comes equipped with its own Pausa Kitchen upstairs which will offer customers a range of seasonal hot and cold refreshments with a view overlooking the store.

The second floor, which is accessible via the stairs or the lift, hosts the cafe, a 'made to measure' section, curtains and blinds pictures and frames, rugs, furniture and much more.

The downstairs section consists of goods to fill your home with bedding, cushions, decorations and other items.

Over the past week more than 70 staff have been working at the store to build and stock the shelves in time for the grand opening.

B&M will be the next store to open in the development next door to Dunelm on Wednesday, November 30.

The Gateway is a key regeneration project by LondonMetric Property and Avercet.

It is expected to boost the local economy by around £5 million every year - and will also generate around £6 million in business rates.

The development received planning approval in summer 2021, and Mildren Construction begun the building process in September.
