A CAR overturned on a busy road near Wimborne this afternoon, prompting multiple emergency services to respond.

Emergency services were called to a single vehicle crash on the B3082 Blandford Road at just before 3pm on Sunday, November 13. 

Two fire engines were in attendance to the crash, involving just one car, as well as the ambulance service and Dorset Police. 

Witnesses say the road is passable heading towards Wimborne but is closed from Queen Elizabeth’s School. In the Blandford direction. 

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 2.42pm DWFRS received calls for a road traffic collision involving one vehicle.  

“Two fire engines and two officers attended, and the vehicle was made safe.  

“The fire service worked alongside the South Western Ambulance Service and Dorset Police, and a stop message was given at 3.07pm.” 

A Dorset Police spokesman said: "We were called at 2.30pm on Sunday, November 13 to an overturned car on the B3082 Blandford Road.

"We attended the scene with the fire service and ambulance service at just before 3pm.

"A car had overturned on a grass verge. There are no injuries to the driver.

"The road is closed but it should reopen very soon."
