A six-year-old girl remains in a serious condition in hospital after a crash on the A37. 

Police say they are continuing to investigate the serious injury collision near Dorchester and are renewing their appeal for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at around 8pm on Saturday, October 29, of a collision involving a black Ford Focus and a silver Mercedes on the A37 at Holywell Cross.

The driver of the Ford sustained serious injuries and two passengers sustained minor injuries. All three were taken to hospital for treatment.

A third passenger in the Ford – a six-year-old girl – remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Police Sergeant Geraint Butler, of the traffic unit, said: “We are continuing to carry out an investigation into this collision to establish exactly what happened.

“Following initial enquiries, we know that a number of vehicles travelled past the incident going up the hill and I would urge these drivers to please come forward.

“I would continue to ask anyone who has important information or relevant dashcam footage to please get in touch with Dorset Police.”
