A TESCO store in Bournemouth town centre is closed for the second day running.

The Tesco Express store in Bourne Avenue near the Square is shut due to “unforeseen technical issues”.

A sign on the door reads: “The store is currently closed due to unforeseen technical issues, we will be open as soon as possible."

It continues: “Sorry for any inconvenience caused.”

Bournemouth Echo:

The store has been closed since Thursday morning.

As previously reported, the store is due to close from January 2023 for around 12 weeks for a “major refurbishment”.

It is understood the store will close from January 9 but this has not been verified by Tesco.

A spokesperson for Tesco said: “Our Bournemouth Express store is temporarily closed because of problems caused by a water leak.

"We are working to get the store open as soon as possible and apologise to our customers for the inconvenience.”
