A REBRANDED restaurant located a short distance from the seafront is to open its doors in Canford Cliffs next week.

The Anchorage hotel and restaurant is set to welcome customers for the first time on Tuesday, November 15, after a full interior and exterior refurbishment as it replaces the former Loch Fyne brand in Haven Road.

Offering seafood favourites as well as British classics, the pub and dining experience will boast an extensive list of wines, a new ground floor dining area, terrace seating, and six hotel rooms – one of which has been designed in a premium penthouse style.

Regulars at the former Loch Fyne have been told by new operator Metropolitan Pub Company they “need not worry” as they have retained the same members of staff and menu favourites.

Michael Horan, managing director of Metropolitan Pub Company, said: “After a lot of hard work and investment, we’re very excited to be opening the doors to the latest addition to the Metropolitan Pub family, The Anchorage.

“Set in idyllic Poole, The Anchorage reflects the beautiful surroundings in which it is set, offering a brand-new experience for locals and visitors.

“We’re thrilled the dedicated team from the former site, Loch Fyne, are able to join us in this next chapter and hope old and new customers alike will be as taken by The Anchorage as we are.”

Loch Fyne officially closed on Sunday, October 2, after well over a decade of trading.

Several other Loch Fyne sites have closed within the last two years, including venues in Nottingham and Winchester.

The Anchorage has already set the wheels in motion for the festive period, with the site opening on Christmas Day to diners with bookings available.
