Police have urged people to report antisocial behaviour after a visit to a hotspot recently.

Officers from Poole Police said they were on a visit to Adastral Square in Canford Heath to serve an antisocial behaviour warning letter when they spoke to residents about recent incidents.

The public told them they had been afraid of walking in the area, and had witnessed people throwing bottles on buses.

But they hadn't reported incidents as 'nothing is ever done', a Facebook post said.

Bournemouth Echo:

A spokesperson for Poole Police said: "Dorset Police can only action something if incidents are reported and Police and BCP Council are made aware.

"We want members of the public to feel safe in their communities."

In a separate post, officers on antisocial behaviour patrols came across a group of youths causing a nuisance outside of Tesco Express in Herbert Avenue.

One male youth with no helmet, made off on a small black pit bike, officers said.

"With our local knowledge and the help of our traffic officer colleagues, we were able to locate the rider and the bike at an address in Rossmore.

"The male was given strong words of advice and his bike was then seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act for no insurance."
