A MAN has been arrested by police investigating two robberies and an assault in the Ringwood area.
On Monday, October 17 a man entered a Co-op store Southampton Road, threatened staff with a glass bottle and left with about £225.
On Sunday, November 6 a man entered a convenience store at Butlers Lane and demanded money from the tills, with around £30 handed over.
On the same day a man entered a shop at Hightown Road and reportedly jumped across the cashier desk, demanding money.
Staff refused to comply, resulting in one employee being assaulted. Nothing was stolen.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers have arrested a 22-year-old man from Ringwood on suspicion of two counts of robbery and one count of assault with intent to commit robbery.
"He remains in police custody at the current time."
