AN EXPLODED vape left a resident requirement treatment for burns from paramedics.
Emergency services were called to the property in Throop, Bournemouth, on Sunday morning following reports of a fire involving a vape battery.
Firefighters from Redhill Park attended the address in Godshill Close shortly before 8am on November 6 along with paramedics.
The fire was out by the time the crew arrived but damage had been caused to the carpet and a sofa.
One person suffered burns, with firefighters giving first aid until the ambulance service team arrived.

Station manager Shaun Milton said: "We have seen a number of fires caused by e-cigarettes across Dorset & Wiltshire, involving both rechargeable and disposable models.
“E-cigarettes are becoming increasingly popular and, with more people using the devices, we are seeing more and more incidents relating to them across the country.
“We would urge people to follow the safety advice, and to consider buying a specialist fire retardant bag, which can be used when the batteries are on charge – these cost about £5.”
