PART of the A338 was closed for more than two hours on Sunday night due to a three-vehicle crash.

The crash on the northbound carriageway happened between Blackwater Junction and the Ashley Heath Roundabout. 

It was reported to police at 3.18pm.

Officers attended and the road was closed until around 5.30pm.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We received a report at 3.18pm on Sunday 6 November 2022 of a three-vehicle collision on the northbound carriageway of the A338 between the Blackwater Junction and the Ashley Heath Roundabout.

“Officers attended and road closures were put in place. One of the vehicles was recovered and the road reopened at around 5.30pm.

“There were no reports of any injuries.”
