THE death of a man found in a Bournemouth street is not being treated as suspicious.

Police launched an investigation after the man aged in his 30s was found in West Overcliff Drive on Saturday morning.

Officers were called to reports of the "sudden" death of a man by the ambulance service.

The man’s death was initially being treated as “unexplained”.

Giving an update, Dorset Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.07am on Saturday 5 November 2022 by the ambulance service to reports of the sudden death of a man aged in his 30s who had been found outside in West Overcliff Drive in Bournemouth.

“Following enquiries, the man's death is not being treated as suspicious.

"His family has been informed and HM Coroner notified.”

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 09.53hrs on Saturday 5 November to an incident in Bournemouth. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances and an operations officer.”
