BOB Dylan fans won’t be allowed to take mobile phones into a Bournemouth concert venue when the legendary singer performs this evening.

Bh Live has warned people mobile phones, cameras or recording devices will not be allowed inside the Windsor Hall at the BIC.

A customer notice posted on social media by Bh Live on Friday reads: “If you are attending Bob Dylan on Saturday 5 November, please note no mobile phones cameras or recording devices will be allowed inside the Windsor Hall for this event.

“Once you arrive at the venue, Yondr will have its dedicated staff available to help you put your phone in a locked and secure pouch which you will keep with you throughout the evening."

It continued: “You can unlock your phone picket at any time by going to a dedicated and signposted area, intended for phone use. Do not hesitate to ask a Yondr staff member to help you.”

Bob Dylan, 81, is due to take to the stage at the BIC tonight at 8pm as part of his Rough and Rowdy Ways world tour.

A statement on the BIC website says: “Having created this phone-free experience on recent tours, we believe it creates better times for everyone in attendance.

“Our eyes open a little more and our senses are slightly sharper when we lose the technological crutch we’ve grown accustomed to.

“And yes, it’s a non-negotiable deal (although medical exemptions are made for those who rely on their phone for treatment).”

The Like a Rolling Stone singer has banned mobile phones from his UK concerts which included dates at the London Palladium and Hull Bonus Arena.

The tour ends in Dublin on November 7.
