A TINY plot of land has sold for £25,000 in Bournemouth.

The piece of land is approximately 6.3m x 6.3m and has a small detached building with development potential, running water and a toilet.

Town and Country Property Auctions sold the land by public auction, with un-submitted plans available to build a two storey one bedroom house.

The property was sold for £25,000 meeting its reserve price. It had six bids starting at £20,000.

A spokesperson from Town and Country said: “It sold for £25,000, it wasn’t somebody that we had shown the property to so somebody bought it and they’ve got their own ideas what they’ll use it for, we don’t know.

“We thought it would make £25K or thereabout, that seems to be the general rate, anywhere between there and £30K seems to be the going rate from past experience.”

A previously reported, a spokesperson from Town and Country said they had sold a similar plot of land for £32,000.

They said: “We sold something similar in the centre of Bournemouth, somebody had been using it as a building store and I thought it wasn't going to go for much more than 20,0000 then on the day it was bought for 32,000.

“We get the occasional odd bits and plots and it's totally down to whoever views it as to what their use is for it or what they think they can do.

“Sometimes you get these bits of land which are completely landlocked and you think, well, that's never going to sell.

“And then somebody pops their head up and buys it. So, it's just a matter of throwing it out there and seeing what happens on the day of the auction.”

The property was sold in the Town and Country Property Auctions October 31 auction which was held online.
