POLICE have been investigating suspicious activity in Poole after a girl appeared to have been followed by a man.
On Tuesday, November 2 at around 5.30pm it is reported a man was following a 12-year-old girl from Haskells Road in Poole to the Tesco Express in Ringwood Road.
The man did not attempt to speak to the girl and nor was any physical contact made.
Police say they attended the incident and provided reassurance for the girl followed by a search.
Nobody was found but enquiries are ongoing into the report.
A spokeswoman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at around 5.30pm on Tuesday 2 November 2022 of a suspicious incident involving a 12-year-old girl who appeared to have been followed by a man from Haskells Road to Tesco in Ringwood Road in Poole.
“The man did not make any attempts to speak to the girl and no physical contact was made.
“Officers attended and spoke to the girl involved to provide reassurance and ensure she was safe and well. A search of the area was carried out, however nobody was located.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the report. Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team are aware and can be approached by members of the public while on patrol with any information or concerns.”
