A VENUE which has been forced to close in BH2 may still be shut ‘for a couple of weeks’.

Escape Hunt, a new escape room which recently opened in Bournemouth town centre’s BH2 leisure complex, has been closed since Wednesday, October 26.

Flooding caused not only the escape room to close, but the car park for the lesiure complex was as well as Boom Battle Bar – they have since reopened.

Work is being carried out at Escape Hunt to repair the damage caused by the leak and the windows have been blacked out.

The Daily Echo understands builders could remain at the venue ‘for a couple of weeks’ until it reopens.

We have contacted Savills Place on behalf of BH2 for a comment but have had no response. We have also contacted Escape Hunt for more details.

The escape room only opened its doors on Thursday, October 20 – the same day as Dorset’s first ever axe-throwing bar Boom Battle Bar.

The rooms have four differently themed challenges; from falling down the rabbit hole in Alice in Puzzleland, capturing the lamp in Aladdin & The Magic Vault, returning a stolen amulet in Curse of the Pharaoh, or stepping aboard a pirate ship in Blackbeard’s Treasure.

This isn’t the first time venues were forced to close recently. On Sunday, October 16, BH2 was forced to shut all venues after a fire broke out at Nando’s and caused flooding and water damage within other venues, including the Odeon Cinema and TGI Fridays.
