TEMPERATURES hit 20C today which is rare for an October Autumn day.

And the warm weather isn’t going anywhere with highs of 19C this weekend.

Weather enthusiast Dorset Sun explained why the weather is hotter than it normally would be at this time of year.

They said: “Southerlies such as the winds that we are experiencing now are very rare during the winter months. Therefore settled and mild conditions are unlikely.

“It could hit 20C in places this afternoon. Madness for the end of October.

“Our climate is warming up. I’m no climate change activist and I’m not going to speculate about why it's warming up. It just is and that’s a fact.

“Not a single month of 2022 has been below average in terms of the Central England temperature.”
