A BOURNEMOUTH restaurant has announced that it will be giving away up to 1,000 kids' meals this half term, to support families in response to the cost of living crisis.

Chicken & Blues is supporting the community through this "tough time" by providing free meals to children this half term.

This giveaway is in partnership with the Chicken & Blues Neighbourhood Fund, which was initially set up in the pandemic, and has since become part of C&B’s ongoing commitment to support the community whenever possible.

500 meals have already been registered for so there are still hundreds left to give away.

Steve Crawford, C&B co-founder: “The cost of living crisis has been broadly spoken about in the media recently, and is now impacting many of us, especially young families.

Bournemouth Echo:

"Myself, my business partners and many of our team members have children, and we know all too well how treating the kids during the half term break can be costly and stressful.

"As such, we’re delighted to offer up to 1,000 kids a meal on the house, and hope it brings some joy to local families during this tough time.

"It’s not a usual ‘buy an adult main meal and get a kids meal for free’ type thing. There is no stipulation, so families can take advantage of this and treat their kids, up to 2 per family, in Bournemouth and Poole."
