The BBC turns 100 this year and it's celebrating by giving viewers the chance to star in their favourite shows. 

The broadcaster is inviting fans to star in some of their most iconic programmes as part of the historic celebrations. 

The announcement comes after the BBC revealed a jam-packed lineup of special episodes and feature-length dedicated documentaries. 

Viewers now have the exclusive chance to order a drink in the Queen Vic or be an alien on Doctor Who, here's how you can apply.

BBC invites viewers to star in favourite TV shows for 100th anniversary

The BBC launched the 15 Seconds Of Fame campaign, fronted by comedian Phil Wang, on The One Show on Friday, October 21.

Fans have flooded social media to share which shows they dream of starring on.

One viewer wrote: "Just applied for Casualty look out Charlie here I come."

A second person added:" Of course I’ve applied. It was a yes on my behalf. Now to await the news from Albert Square. I’m a Mitchell in real life. I NEED THIS!"

While a third fan posted:" Never filled something in so quickly!"

Here are the opportunities that are up for grabs and the shows you could appear in:

  • Announcing ‘voting now open’ on Strictly Come Dancing
  • Ordering a drink on EastEnders
  • Lying as a motionless patient on Casualty
  • Being an alien on Doctor Who
  • Making a sound effect on The Archers
  • Doing a spot of gardening on Gardeners’ World

If you are interested in walking in the footsteps on the sets of some of your favourite BBC stars, you will need to be aged 18 or over.
