A GIN bar in Poole has made the ‘extremely difficult decision’ to close its doors after facing soaring costs in the industry.

Tin of Sardines has announced it will be closing its business in High Street with immediate effect.

The gin bar said rising costs had made it ‘impossible’ for them to continue trade in the town.

They announced the news in a Facebook post on Saturday, October 22, writing: “It is with deepest regret that we have taken the extremely difficult decision to close the doors at Tin of Sardines Poole Quay.

“The rising cost of living and electricity continues to affect us all. These are exceptional times, and we hope you understand that it has become impossible for us to continue to trade.

“As a family-run business we haven't taken this decision lightly, and to say we are gutted is an understatement."

The statement from the venue also thanked customers, staff, and suppliers for supporting them from ‘day one’.

They added: “Farewell from us at Tin Poole, we will always remember and cherish the good times we made with you all.”
