A POPULAR fish and chip shop has closed in Bournemouth town centre.
Wild Fish and Chips, on the corner of Old Christchurch Road and Fir Vale Road, has a sign outside saying ‘closed until further notice’ and the windows have been blacked out from the inside.
We have contacted the shop for answers about what is happening but have not had a reply.
The chip shop, which opened in 2020, took over the old unit formerly occupied by Chkn Station.

In May, Bournemouth West MP Conor Burns visited the restaurant as part of his campaign to get people to eat at fish and chip shops – despite recent “modest price rises”.
Fish and chip shops have been facing difficulties lately, with the war in Ukraine pushing prices up for a variety of supplies including whitefish, from Russian vessels, potatoes and oil.
It is unclear why Wild Fish and Chips is closed or when it will reopen.
