A BOURNEMOUTH man has reported at least three attempted break-ins at his home within months.

The man said he has experiened a lot of incidents on the driveway and at least three attempts to break into his car.

He said: “At 1.10am our security camera captured a male trying to break into my car. We live on Capstone Road in Bournemouth.

“This is the second intruder this year. The first one wore a hood and Dorset Police could not identify him.

“A man tried to break into our vehicle three or four months ago and I shared a video with police but they couldn't identify who it was so they couldn’t take any further action.

“This time, it was early on Monday morning at 1.10am last week, a guy came around the vehicle and attempted to break in.

“Probably about a year or 18 months ago we also had a hooded guy round the front of our property looking at bicycles that were under a cover but they were all locked up as well.

“This is our third incident but this time the guy's face is visible within the video. I’ve given it to Dorset police and they are going to open an enquiry and investigate it because they've got a face so hopefully they can find a lead as to who he is.

“It's unusual we’ve had three people around the property with hoods on, because we’ve installed security cameras, we’ve got security lights up now so everything is lit up at night so they're pretty foolish if they're going to come round and put their faces on video.

“We’ve had a lot of incidents down the driveway with screws thrown and glass."

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We received a report of an attempted break-in to a vehicle that was parked in a driveway at an address in Capstone Road in Bournemouth at around 1.10am on Monday October 17, 2022.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. No arrests have been made.

“We have not been asked to issue an image appeal at this time.”
