WHO says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?
Curious parents from Ferndown were on a mission to prove the age-old adage wrong.
Parents of pupils from Ferndown First school attended lessons on the computers their children had been getting to grips with during lessons.
Computers weren’t as widely used back on October 5, 1992, when these pictures were taken.
The bulky machines were also less intuitive and user-friendly back then, so the parents of Ferndown had a sense of achievement when they successfully used them to programme robots to perform basic tasks.
The parents were amazed when the robots followed the routes they had programmed moments earlier on the computers.
