I WOULD like to congratulate BCP Council for causing causing the biggest traffic jam I have ever seen in Poole.
A sight to behold – hundreds of cars going nowhere bumper to bumper. A car snake from Ringwood Road to Wallisdown and Herbert Avenue and onwards to Alder Road, Poole Road and Ashley Road.
Hundreds of cars with in some cases with children on board – I bet that was fun for their parents.
What was the reason? For this I can tell you. The council’s obsession for providing cycle lanes for a very very small percentage of the population who might – might use them.
Speak up people it is your money the council is frittering away.
I am in dread if the proposed Ringwood Road plan goes ahead.
The council s active travel plan should be an inactive plan.
Somebody should warn all those tens of thousands thousands of holiday makers next summer, don’t worry if you forget to pack your bikinis or swimming trunks – just make sure you all have remembered to bring a bike. It is hard work cycling around this part of beautiful Dorset.
Think again BCP Council or your time may be up.
