A MAN is due in court after being charged following an alleged burglary and assault in Bournemouth over the weekend.
A police helicopter was seen over parts of Bournemouth, including West Howe, on Saturday, October 15.
Armed officers and the police dog unit along with uniformed police searched for a person following an aggravated burglary involving a knife in High Howe Lane in Bournemouth on the night of Friday, October 14.

A 30-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested and subsequently charged with aggravated burglary and assault and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 17.
A 52-year-old man from Bournemouth was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released under investigation.
A spokesperson on Saturday said: "We were called at 8.05pm on Friday to reports of an aggravated burglary at an address in High Howe Lane in Bournemouth.
“One man sustained injuries to his face and a quantity of cash was stolen. It was reported the suspect was in possession of a knife.
“Officers, supported by a firearms team and dog unit, attended the area to carry out a search for the suspect, but this was not successful.
“A further call was received at 4.30am on Saturday 15 October 2022 to reports of a disturbance at the same address believed to involve the same suspect.
“Uniformed officers, along with firearms officers, the dog unit and the NPAS helicopters have attended the scene and a search of the area is underway.”
