THE Britannia in Poole is set to open this month after an extensive renovation.

The White Brasserie, the company with Michelin star chef Raymond Blanc as a director, is to reopen the pub in Ashley Cross on Monday, October 17.

We were lucky enough to take a first look at their menu which includes traditional pub classics with French influences.

The menu will feature all you'd want from a pub menu with French twists is cooked fresh to order and using sustainable produce.

The autumn menu offers an extensive range of starters, mains and desserts as well as a wide range of drinks and cocktails.

The starter menu includes escargots, crab & sweetcorn bon-bons, morteau sausage & potato salad and much more.

The drinks menu includes a wide range of gins, cocktails, mocktails, beers, ciders and more.

The Britannia is going to be a dog-friendly pub where people can stop by for a quick drink, a sit-down meal or to catch up with friends as it offers multiple environments.

The White Brasserie Company already operates the Oaks pub in Highcliffe, as well as Brasserie Blanc in Bournemouth’s Highcliff Marriott Hotel.

The new owner will reopen the Britannia with a bar, a 150-seat restaurant and a terrace and garden for 100 people.

With the installation of outdoor heaters, the Britannia has created an area that people may enjoy in both the winter and the summer with the intention of creating a community hub.
