A NEW Forest pony is among seven animals looking for forever homes this week.
Dorset-based animal rescue centre Margaret Green is hoping to find permanent homes for a number of animals in its care.
They include dogs, rabbits, a cat and a pony.

Black Jack is lovely, four-year-old, ex-racing Greyhound. He is an excitable and fun boy who adores having cuddles. He can be very bouncy and excited with his toys, so he is looking for an adult-only home or a family with teenagers, who will ideally have experience with Sighthounds. He is looking for a home where he can get lots of attention, but he would prefer not to live with small furries.
Lil is a female Wolfhound x American Bulldog who is four-months-old. She is a typical puppy and she would love to find a family who will continue her training and socialisation. She could live with older children and possibly a male dog and a cat too. When she is fully grown, she will be a similar size and weight of a Bull Mastiff.
Dexter is a handsome German Shepherd who is three-years-old. He is an affectionate lad once he gets to know you, but initially he can be wary of new people and situations. He is looking for an adult-only home with an experienced family, who will be able to continue his training. He can get a little over-excited around other dogs, so he is looking for a home where he will be the only pet.

Barney is 14-years-old and looking for experienced owners who will interact with him on his own terms. He likes his independence, so he would be best suited to a quiet, rural-based home or a large garden with a cat flap and free access. Whilst he enjoys having company, he isn’t a lap cat and prefers to be left alone when napping, so he would like to be the only pet in the household.
Tiger Lily is a 13.2hh, 23-year-old New Forest Pony. She responds well to natural horsemanship methods in training and she is quick to learn and engage with her handler. She would enjoy a home that wants to do horse agility, groundwork or go for in-hand hacks. She would like to be rehomed as a non-ridden companion, to somewhere with other equines as she is good at living with mares and geldings in a small herd environment.
Vernon is looking for a new home with his best friend, Tikka. They are a both three-years-old and they are quite adventurous. They are not keen on being handled but this could be developed over time, as they like receiving fuss whilst relaxing on the ground. They love being up high and hopping around, so they are looking for a large forever home.
