FIRST aid was given to a man who had to be rescued from scaffolding in a residential area in St Ives.
Firefighters from Ringwood, Redhill Park and specialist technical rescue crews from Poole attended a property in Sandy Lane, St Ives, shortly after being alerted at 11.04am on Monday, October 3.
Upon arrival, crews were tasked with assisting a casualty from scaffolding.
The injured person was rescued from a first-floor level by a rope rescue team and given first aid until the arrival of ambulance crews.
A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The ambulance service asked for our help at a property in Sandy Lane at 11.04am this morning as they had a casualty who needed removing from first floor scaffolding.
“Our stop was at 12.02pm, when the man had been brought safely to the ground.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: “We were called at 10.50am to an incident in the St Ives area of Ashley Heath. We sent a double-crewed land ambulance and a critical care car.
“We are conveying one patient to Poole Hospital.”
