AS A BCP ward councillor for Wallisdown and Winton West for the last seven years , I have joined residents and fellow Conservative councillors on ‘litter picks’ but I want to pay tribute to those residents, individuals and groups (and Dorset Devils too of course) who spontaneously collect litter from their areas or our open spaces and dispose of other people’s rubbish properly, recycling where possible.
Today, again, I discovered a litter collector operating in Cornish Gardens, and other stalwarts around in Slades Park and along Wallisdown Road are well known.
BCP Southcote Road Depot have provided litter picking kits for us councillors to deliver to our keen, green residents.
