COASTGUARD and lifeboat crews were called out in the early hours of the morning to support police officers.
Dorset Police requested assistance from the partner agencies after they received a call raising a concern for the welfare of a 39-year-old male on Saturday night.
HM Coastguard’s Poole, Southbourne and Swanage coastguard rescue teams, as well as Poole and Swanage RNLI lifeboats, were sent to assist Dorset Police in the area around Lake Pier and Rockley Point.
A Dorset Police spokesperson told the Daily Echo that the man was found safe and well.
