A WELL-known football pundit has taken part in 10-hour long fundraising event in Bournemouth.
Former Liverpool player and manager Graeme Souness joined in the 10-hour non-stop cycle ride in the atrium at Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
The event, known as the Heart-to-Heart ride, was launched by Bournemouth Heart Club, a group helping individuals to recover and maintain their health and fitness after major cardiac events.
He was joined by 30 members of the Bournemouth Heart Club, all set with the target of funding 20 places at the BHC Keep Well Hub for those who must exercise to improve their health conditions but cannot afford a regular gym membership due to low income and the cost of living crisis.
Graeme,, who himself underwent open heart by-pass surgery in 1992 at the age of 38, said: “Regular exercise provides both immediate and long lasting benefits. It improves cardiovascular health, reduces cholesterol and lowers blood pressure.
"It also reduces the risk of developing other serious health conditions like diabetes and can help with dementia and depression”.
