NHS staff across Dorset are set to receive additional support for their mental health and wellbeing.
The World Happiness Project is launching a series of online ‘Happy Café’ meetings to support NHS staff working in the region.
The meetings aim to provide a safe space for staff to meet informally and talk about happiness, mental health and wellbeing in the home, the community, and the workplace.
They will be aimed at the 50,000+ staff working in all sectors of the NHS, including in hospitals, Foundation Trusts, primary care networks, GP practices, local councils and care providers.
During the initial trial period, guest speakers will be highlighting some of Dorset HealthCare’s 'Here For Each other' staff wellbeing initiatives, that include wellbeing coaching, counselling, psychological therapy and mental and physical health.
The ‘Happy Café’ meetings were due to begin on Tuesday, September 27.
