A WOMAN has been sentenced by the courts for stealing a mobility scooter.
Zoe Denham, aged 32 and of Thorncombe Close, Canford Heath, was accused of stealing the mobility scooter belonging to a man in Dorchester Road, Weymouth, in January.
She pleaded guilty to the offence in August and was back in the dock for sentencing at Poole Magistrates’ Court on September 23.
Denham was committed to prison for 10 weeks, suspended for 12 months, with deputy district judge Jodie Mittell stating the offence was committed against a vulnerable member of the public.
The court ordered the defendant to pay £133 compensation.
