A NEW fragrance and cosmetics store is to open its doors in a historic market town’s shopping centre.

Anticipation is building for the opening of the independently owned Perfumery & Co which is to open its doors in Ringwood’s Furlong shopping centre on Friday, September 30.

To celebrate the shop’s launch, perfume purveyors David and Anthony will treat Furlong customers to complimentary fizz, facials and fragrances.

The first 50 customers through the doors will receive a goodie bag when they make any purchase. Additionally, all launch event customers can also enjoy an exclusive 15 per cent off welcome discount throughout the store.

Perfumery & Co is located in the Furlong next door to handmade frozen food retailer COOK and has replaced a previously closed dry-cleaning business.

Founded in August 2020, owners David and Anthony opened their first store on Lymington High Street in the New Forest and “always dreamed” about opening another store in Ringwood.

Marketing director for the Furlong, Charlie Reed, told the Echo: “The Furlong shopping centre is delighted to welcome another independent store to our award-winning retail mix.

“Perfumery & Co are already an established and successful store in Lymington and we know many of our Ringwood customers have been travelling there to enjoy their gorgeous products and unique customer service. It is fantastic that David and Anthony have chosen to open another store with us at The Furlong, a goal they have had for some time.

“We are confident their customer centric approach and enthusiasm for the brands that they stock will be well received with our customers.”

Perfumery & Co will sell brands including Hermes, Givenchy, Mark Jacobs, Jean Paul Gautier, L’Atelier Parfum, Guerlian, L’Occitane En Provence, as well as eventually welcoming other new products.

The store is the latest edition to the Furlong, following the recently opened women’s activewear retailer Sweaty Betty.

A Clarendon Fine Art gallery will too soon be opening in the centre to replace the former Toys of Ringwood store. It is also understood that some early “exciting offers” have been tabled to replace the recently closed Osprey unit.
