A REWARD of up to £5,000 is being offered to anyone with information that could help locate a stolen family heirloom watch.

Crimestoppers are offering a reward for anonymous information on a street robbery that took place in Bournemouth earlier this year.

The victim of the robbery, a 50-year-old male, was boarding a taxi on Stafford Road on Saturday, June 25 after celebrating a birthday with friends.

At around 12.45am, he was approached by an unknown male, who forcibly unclasped and removed the watch from his wrist, before making an escape on foot along Lorne Park Road.

The suspect is described as being around 5ft 8”, in his late 20s with a North African appearance. He was wearing glasses and a shiny dark-coloured puffer style body-warmer.

The stolen watch is a Patek Philippe Nautilus on a black strap and is said to be of ‘huge sentimental value’ to the victim.

A reward of up to £5,000 is being offered through Crimestoppers for anyone that comes forward with information which leads to a conviction and its safe return.

Mick Duthie, director of operations at Crimestoppers, said: “Someone knows who is responsible for this crime, or somebody may have seen something that can help to convict this individual.

"This watch, a family heirloom, has huge sentimental value to the victim and he would like it back. Contact us 100% anonymously with what you know and you may be eligible for this reward.”
