A RESCUE helicopter was called to lift a person to safety after ‘concerns’ were raised over their condition.
Coastguard rescue teams from St Alban's and Kimmeridge were called to assist a person unwell at Hounstout between Chapmans Pool and Kimmeridge on Sunday morning.
The individual was found on a severe slope, seeing the CG helicopter R175 requested to carry out a winch recovery.
The casualty was brought to the top of the hill and then taken to hospital in an ambulance.
In a Facebook post, the Kimmeridge Coastguard rescue team wished the person a quick recovery.
They wrote: "Paged along with St Alban's Coastguard Team, Ambulance and CG helicopter R175 to assist a person unwell at Hounstout between Chapmans Pool and Kimmeridge.
"Due to the person in a difficult location on a severe slope and concerns over their condition, CG helicopter R175 was requested and carried out a winch recovery, bringing the casualty back to the awaiting ambulance at the top of the hill.
"With the person safely in the care of the ambulance crew and off to hospital all teams returned to station.
"We wish the person a speedy recovery."
