Police in Boscombe enforced a dispersal order, with several people dealt with.

Officers from Boscombe Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) said due to a rise in anti-social behaviour (ASB) around certain parts of Boscombe, they planned a 'day of action'.

Posting about the event on Saturday, the team said: "We planned a day of action where we targeted specific locations with a Section 35 dispersal order in place.

"Several of these were given out due to people acting in an anti social manner.

"Please continue to report any Anti-Social Behaviour to us."

Last month, following the stabbing of a teenager in Boscombe, community leaders said it was another act of senseless violence.

Councillor Lewis Allison said at the time: "The rise in levels of anti-social behaviour we are seeing, not only in Boscombe but across Bournemouth is unacceptable and more must be done to tackle the root causes of these crimes."

The police team were also out on patrol covering West Cliff and Bournemouth town centre, as well as supporting a number of shops to help deter anti-social behaviour.
