TWO people are due to appear in court following an alleged assault in Poole in which a man received several injuries.

At around 7.20pm on Wednesday, June 22, it was reported that a man aged in his 40s confronted a group of teenagers who were causing anti-social behaviour at Branksome Chine Beach.

After doing so, it is reported that he was assaulted by members of the group. The victim sustained a cut to his nose, bumps to the head and bruising to his body.

Following enquiries, a 17-year-old girl from Bournemouth and a 19-year-old man from Poole were arrested in connection with the incident.

They have been issued with postal requisitions to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 5, for an offence of assault by beating.
