Shortly after, at 8.14pm, the service received a call to a fire in Talbot Village, Bournemouth.

One crew from Redhill attended and found a wooden climbing frame on fire. According to the service, 10 per cent of the frame was damaged by fire before it was extinguished using one hosereel.

Later in Bournemouth and crews from Springbourne and Redhill attended a property fire in Alma Road having been called at 11.53pm. Crews found this to be a fire in the kitchen on the ground floor which was dealt with by using ventilation and isolation.

Three other incidents, one on Wednesday evening and two in the early hours of Thursday, were also attended but turned out to be false alarms. One in Dolphin Quays, Poole was caused by cooking and another in Bournemouth was due to a system fault.
