A MAN is due to appear in court following an alleged incident on a Ryanair flight coming into Bournemouth.
A 47-year-old man from New Milton is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court next month charged with behaving in a threatening, abusive, insulting or disorderly manner toward a member of aircraft crew.
Police received a report from air traffic control shortly after 4pm of Monday, September 19 alerting them to an aggressive passenger onboard a flight from Barcelona.
Once the plane had arrived at Bournemouth Airport, officers boarded to arrest a man.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at around 4.05pm on Monday 19 September 2022 from air traffic control in relation to an aggressive and abusive passenger onboard a flight that was due to land at Bournemouth Airport.
"Officers attended and boarded the plane when it landed. A 47-year-old man from New Milton in Hampshire was arrested and subsequently charged with behaving in a threatening, abusive, insulting or disorderly manner toward a member of aircraft crew.
"He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 13."
