MORE than 30 employers will be keen to meet job-hunters and career-changers at today’s Daily Echo Job Fair.

The free event – sponsored by the business phone system provider 4Com – takes place at the Pavilion, Bournemouth, Thursday, September 22, from 10am-3pm.

Employers attending range from a casino to Dorset Police, offering a huge range of vacancies.

With a record Unemployment dropped in August to its lowest rate since 1974 and the number of people on payrolls rose two per cent to 29.7million.

That situation has led to intense competition for skills and labour.

The Daily Echo job fair is the ideal opportunity for people to see a host of organisations which could become their next employer, and to find out more in an informal setting. 4Com said: “We are grateful that the Echo holds these events, and we are looking forward to meeting attendees.

“Here at 4Com, we’re continuing to grow rapidly, with jobs available across the business, so this is the perfect event for us to be a part of and we are very much looking forward to partnering with the Daily Echo to make it possible.”
