Dexter the german shepherd is among a number of animals looking for their forever homes this week.

Dorset-based animal rescue centre Margaret Green is looking to find permanent homes for these dogs, cats, rabbits and goats.

Can you help? All the details are below.

Dexter is a male German Shepherd who is 3 years old. He is very affectionate once he gets to know people and loves a good back scratch. He enjoys walking and being outside with other dogs, but he would like to be the only pet in the household. He is looking for an experienced, adult-only home with owners who will undertake some training with him.

Snoot is a 3 year old German Shepherd cross. At first he can be a little nervous but with some time and patience, he will soon become comfortable. He enjoys going for walks and meeting other four-legged friends. He is looking for a family who can continue his training, as he can be strong on the lead. He would prefer to be the only pet, but he could possibly live with teenagers.

Bournemouth Echo: JonahJonah (Image: Margaret Green Animal Rescue)

Jonah is a 2 year old Lurcher. Since arriving at Margaret Green, he has slowly grown in confidence and he would love to find a family of his own that will help him to continue this growth. He loves playing off-lead with his canine friends and he enjoys having a cuddle with the staff here. He could live with older children, but he would prefer to be the only pet in the household.

Bournemouth Echo: BrodyBrody (Image: Margaret Green Animal Rescue)

Brody is 11-year-old cat looking for his forever home. He loves a good fuss but he can be shy at first so he will need some time and patience to settle in. He is looking for a quiet, adult-only home where he will be the only pet in the household.

Bournemouth Echo: Pepper and SplashPepper and Splash (Image: Margaret Green Animal Rescue)

Pepper and Splash are two 4 year old male Anglo Nubian goats. They are looking for a home together where they will have plenty of space with high fencing, as they are good at jumping. They will also need accommodation that has a hard standing, where they can go in the winter to keep their feet dry. They are curious boys who love being around people, so they would like lots of human interaction in their new home.

Bournemouth Echo: Lucy and FinLucy and Fin (Image: Margaret Green Animal Rescue)

Lucy and Fin are two 6 year old rabbits who are the best of friends. Lucy is a loving girl who always dotes on Fin and they both love cuddles and affection from their human carers too. They are a very friendly and sweet-natured pair who would love to find their forever home with a loving family soon.
