RAPPER Zuby will be heading up an event at Bumbles on April 17. The show has been organised by the hip-hop artist himself with Mr Shadow, Mosik and DJ Tempa also featuring on the bill.

The gig is for those aged 14 and upwards and tickets are available at £7 in advance from zubymusic.com and Frolic Records in the town centre.

  • ON Thursday The Gander opens its doors to those 16 and upwards with bh one Live. Catch Fitzpain, Zac Harris, Better Dressed Than Adam and Poor Richard. Doors at 6pm and entry £3.
  • IF you're a fan of extravagant rocker Meat Loaf, you'll want to pencil the following shows into your diary. You can catch Terry Nash's tribute to the big fella, plus a full band, at Mr Kyps on Saturday April 26.

Then on Sunday, May 4, at The White Heather in Ferndown, Terry presents the Rokky Horror Tribute Show - a gig in the spirit of Meat Loaf's role in the film, where all your favorite songs from the original show will be performed, with a live band and in costume.

  • THE Thomas Tripp stages the launch of a new company aimed at promoting roots music in the UK. The UK Roots Movement showcases some the finest roots acts from across the south west on April 13. Trio Wille and the Bandits, folk/reggae/bluegrass crossover outfit The Wishbones and acoustic duo Luke and Howler will be playing. Entry is £3.
