A BUTCHERS has accepted a Christmas turkey order from a well organised customer on September 1 - for 10 years running.

The "most organised" client of Peter Treble in Westbourne has already begun planning her Christmas dinner and getting into the holiday spirit despite more than three months to go until the big day.

The owner of Peter Treble, Jacob Watts said: "The same woman has come in and made her order every year for the past ten years without fail, she always orders a whole turkey.

"We only begin taking orders on September 1. She is potentially our most organised customer, she is always our first Christmas order every year without fail.

"It doesn't take long before the Christmas orders come in, people like to join the bandwagon and get in there early.

Peter added: "As soon as it starts to get a bit colder in the evening people start to think, i'll order my Christmas turkey to cheer them up a little bit.

"We take a few hundred Christmas turkey orders every year. So far we have taken four orders for Christmas from some very organised people.

"Christmas does come around quick before you know it in December so it's good to get organised.

"The cost of living is going to affect people massively this Christmas. I think we are going to get a lot of orders for boneless turkey crowns this year which work out as the cheaper option because you are not paying for no bones.

"I think they will be in high demand because everyone's trying to be a little bit more careful with their money.

"We can see a little increase in turkey prices, it's the same with everything at the moment it's all gone up."
