THE list of candidates standing for a seat on BCP Council in a by-election next month have been revealed.
Residents in the Highcliffe and Walkford ward will go to the polls on October 6 for the seat which was previously filled by Christchurch Independents councillor Nick Geary.
Cllr Geary, a former mayor of Christchurch for two terms, died in July.
BCP Council has released details on the four people nominated for the council seat.
The candidates are Peter Brown (Liberal Democrats), Andy Martin (Christchurch Independents), David Stokes (Labour Party), Christopher Van Hagen (Conservatives).
The winner of the by-election is set for a short term on the council before having to defend their seat in next year’s all wards BCP Council elections, which are due to take place in May.
