A STEEL framed office building has been proposed as an addition to a new and expanding business park in Ringwood.

Poole-based Lionel Gregory Architects hope to build a new two-storey office building with associated parking to add to the Forest Gate Business Park off Spring Lane.

It would become one of several buildings designed by the architect at the business park which has expanded massively within the last eight years.

The new unit will be a standalone, steel framed two storey building. Both floors take the form of a large open plan office areas with the total gross internal floor area of the building planned as 434m2.

A previous application for a similar building had already been approved at the proposed site, however it soon became apparent to the applicant that surface water attenuation tanks had already been installed under the land on which the approved building was to be located.

Therefore, it became necessary to draw up the replacement proposal which locates a similarly sized building in the eastern part of the site and allows for the retention of the tanks.

If fully approved, the building will be located a short distance away from the Premier Inn hotel located within the business park.
