A DOG rescue charity is holding a rehoming parade for dogs searching for their forever home.

Staffie and Stray Rescue has organised the event to start promptly at 10am at West Parley Memorial Hall on Sunday, September 25.

The rescue team will speak about each dog individually and bring each dog in one at a time for people to meet.

After this presentation, all the dogs will head out into the adjoining field where guests can chat more closely with their handlers about the type of home they are looking for.

It is also an opportunity for people to understand more about fostering dogs or volunteering if it is something they may be interested in.

One of the dogs attending the event is Herbie.

Aimee from the charity said: "We are finalising the plans this coming Sunday for numbers of dogs attending.

"Herbie will definitely be at the event, he is currently in kennels and is one, in particular, we would really love to find a home for.

"Visitors can expect a lovely morning full of dogs, tea and plenty of cake! They'll also hopefully gain a better insight about what our charity does and how they can help to support us."
