ANOTHER large home overlooking the sea in Swanage could be demolished with the plot redeveloped for five homes.
The town has seen a trend of demolition-rebuild applications in the past couple of years.
This week Dorset Council put the proposals for 23 De Moulham Road out for public consultation with comments able to be made until September 30th.
Westcoast Developments Ltd has asked to re-develop the site with five 3-bed town houses – each three storeys tall and with one parking pace each, after demolition of the existing large family home.
Dorset Council’s area building control team has already said there may be a need to robustly test the site for ground conditions and has expressed reservations about the large areas of glass which it says could lead to overheating.
