TWO people have been charged in relation to an alleged hit and run crash in Poole at the weekend.
Police received a report of a collision in Foxholes Road in Poole at 7.05am on Saturday.
It was reported a car collided with a wall before leaving the scene.
There were no reports of any injuries.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “The vehicle was subsequently located in Dale Valley Road and officers detained the two occupants.
“It was reported that a male occupant was verbally abusive toward officers as he was arrested.”
A 48-year-old Poole man was subsequently charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis, failing to stop after a road accident, using a motor vehicle on a road without valid insurance and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
A 55-year-old woman from Poole was charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Both are due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 3.
