A NUMBER of events due to take place this weekend have been cancelled or postponed following the Queen’s death.
Organisers made the decision not to go ahead with the events as the nation observes 10 days of mourning.

Tour of Britain
The Dorset stage of the Tour of Britain was due to go ahead today, Saturday, September 10.
Professional cyclists were set to compete in a leg of the race across the county, culminating in a finish in Ferndown.
In a statement, an AJ Bell Tour of Britain spokesman said: "Further to the earlier statement in relation to the cancellation of stage six as a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, the organisers of the AJ Bell Tour of Britain can additionally confirm that stages seven (Dorset) and eight (Isle of Wight) will not take place.
"This decision has been taken in consultation with stakeholders and partners in light of operational circumstances, including the understandable reassignment of police resource at this time.

Arts by the Sea Christchurch
The Arts by the Sea event scheduled for Christchurch this weekend has been postponed.
A statement from organisers said “As we pause and reflect on the UK’s longest reigning monarch, a decision has been made between Arts by the Sea Festival, BCP Council and Christchurch BID to postpone this Saturday’s PLAY Christchurch event as a sign of respect.
“The event will be rescheduled for a future date to be confirmed soon.”
Mudeford RNLI open day
An open day was due to take place today at Mudeford RNLI between 10am and 5pm.
Posting on social media, Mudeford RNLI said: "All at Mudeford RNLI are deeply saddened by the death of our patron, Queen Elizabeth II. In recognition of this sad news, the decision has been made to cancel the Mudeford RNLI Open Day tomorrow, Saturday 10th September."
Cherries' Premier League match against Brighton
A statement from the league read: "At a meeting this morning, Premier League clubs paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
"To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, this weekend’s Premier League match round will be postponed, including Monday evening’s game."
Cherries are now next due in action away at Eddie Howe's Newcastle United on Saturday, September 17.
Poole Pirates
Poole Pirates' trip to Leicester Lions this weekend has been postponed.
The two clubs were set to do battle in the first leg of their Knockout Cup semi-final at Paul Chapman & Sons Arena on Saturday evening (7pm).
The meeting has now been rescheduled, for Saturday, September 17.
