“THE Queen died knowing that her subjects were deeply grateful to her for all she gave to them.”
Those are the words of Bournemouth MP Conor Burns as he paid tribute to Her Majesty the Queen after he death aged 96.
Mr Burns, MP for Bournemouth West, told the Daily Echo: “This sad news was not unexpected although that does not diminish its impact.
“Throughout her seven decades of faithful and devoted service Her Majesty served her people.
“They respected and loved her in response. I was privileged to participate in the events in Northern Ireland for the recent jubilee on behalf of her Government.
“Looking back that was a weekend the whole country can take immense pride in.
“Through the outpouring of affection over those four days our beloved Queen died knowing that her subjects were deeply grateful to her for all she gave to them and the nation we all so love.”
