A SPEED restriction over a defective train track is causing disruption to services between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst.
Due to the track issues at Sway first reported shortly after 3pm today (September 6), trains between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst may be cancelled, delayed by up to 40 minutes or revised.
These delays are expected to last until at least 6pm this evening.
Advice for customers has been posted online. For CrossCountry, services may be terminated at Southampton Central.
National Rail said: “To assist with your journey, you may use your ticket on South Western Railway between Bournemouth and Basingstoke.”
For South Western Railway, National Rail also said: “To assist with your journey, you may use your ticket on CrossCountry services between Bournemouth and Basingstoke.”
